Have you ever had one of those moments when life holds up a mirror and you barely recognize the person looking back?
I had that moment not too long ago.
On a recent trip, I saw myself in candid photos. Not the cute, posed ones we like to share, but the real-life snapshots where nothing is hidden.
And let me tell you, what I saw surprised me. My uniform didn’t fit, I had to buy a bigger size, and even then, I thought I was doing a good job of hiding the truth.
But the photos? They told a different story.
And nothing humbles you quite like people asking if you’re pregnant when you’re not.
I laughed in the moment, but inside, it hurt. Then came the final straw—trying on another uniform I needed for an event, and it barely made it up my thighs.
That was it. My wake-up call.

Clarity Isn’t Comfortable, But It’s Necessary
I literally said to myself, “Enough is enough. This isn’t who I want to be.”
And here’s the thing—those uncomfortable moments gave me something I couldn’t ignore anymore: clarity.
Clarity is the first step in the Momentum Method, because before you can make any change in your life, you have to stop and get brutally honest about where you are right now.
Not where you used to be.
Not where you wish you were.
Not where you pretend to be for other people.
But the real, unfiltered, raw version of your life today.
“It wasn’t about shame—it was about truth.”
And once you have the truth, you finally have a choice: Do you want to keep going down this road, or do you want to shift?
What Clarity Might Look Like for You
For me, clarity came in the form of too-tight uniforms and unflattering photos. For you, it might look completely different.
Maybe it’s realizing your mornings always feel chaotic.
Maybe it’s noticing that your routines fall apart by Wednesday.
Maybe it’s admitting you keep saying yes to things you don’t actually have the capacity for.
Whatever it looks like, clarity is powerful.
“Without clarity, you’re just spinning your wheels, hoping magical change will happen. With clarity, you finally get to take the first real step forward.”
The Momentum Method
That’s why I created Momentum, a 4-week reset for busy moms who are tired of starting over every Monday.
Inside Momentum, we walk through four pillars:
- Clarity – Get honest about where you are right now.
- Commitment – Decide what you truly want and stick with it.
- Confidence – Build routines and habits that fit your real life.
- Celebration – Learn to recognize progress and keep going.
This isn’t about doing things perfectly. It’s about building routines that actually fit your real life, not the fantasy version you think you’re supposed to have.
And here’s the good news—you don’t have to do it alone.
Your Wake-Up Call is Your Invitation
If you’ve had that moment too—the candid photo, the too-tight pants, the mornings that leave you frazzled—I want you to know something.
You don’t have to wait for the perfect time.
You don’t have to do it perfectly.
You just have to start.
“That clarity you feel right now? That’s your invitation.”
So the next time you catch a glimpse of your reality, don’t push it aside. Use it. Let it fuel you. Let it be the moment that shifts everything.
Because clarity isn’t just uncomfortable—it’s transformational.
